Free Trade Warehousing Zone

Sanco Trans offers Free trade warehousing zone bonded services to a number of global customers that serve a wide range of supply chain activities such as warehousing, inbound transportation, distribution, customs clearance, and customer-specific value-added services. Sanco Trans provides end-to-end service from port to customer destination, fulfilling customer expectations on safety, quality, and timely delivery of goods. Through proven service expertise, Sanco Trans has received approvals from the Unit Approval Committee to perform Value Added Service (VAS) activities such as kitting, bolting services, ambient temperature storage services, packing, spare parts segregation and repacking services.

Sanco Trans FTWZ has a dedicated customs compliance team to cater to special customs requirements and advise customers on duty/tax benefits. For odd-dimensional cargos not applicable for warehouse storage, we can accommodate the goods with open yard and crane facilities if needed.

Advantages of Free Trade Warehousing Zone

  • Value added services such as kitting, light assembly, re-packaging and labelling can be completed within the Free Trade Warehousing Zone exempt from associated taxes.
  • Goods imported into the FTWZ remain on the books of the foreign supplier. This enables flexibility in final destination of the goods, creating a nimble supply chain with ability to service areas with greater demand with short lead times.
  • Goods can be quality checked in the warehouse before customer delivery and import duty levied, thereby reducing customer returns whilst improving cash flow.
  • Goods can be showcased with demonstrations to potential customers all before customs duty is levied for a period of 2 years after which the goods can be returned to supplier or re-exported without attracting import duty.
